Our CBCA neighbors, Scott & Nancy Bradley, created a wonderful eating establishment in Frankfort with food trucks, spirits and music on Main Street. The tent is reserved this night for CBCA. Camp Crystal Supporters Celebration (22 Aug 2026)

There will be a celebration event for everyone who pledged support to the Christian Church Michigan Region's Master Plan on Saturday, August 22nd from 5pm - 7pm in the Mission House. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

As you know, in January of this year, the CCMR and the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy signed and recorded a conservation easement encompassing approximately 70 acres of the Camp Crystal wooded property which runs behind our cottages from Lobb Road to Robinson Road. The CCMR and CBCA agreement to adopt deed restrictions on the remainder of the Camp Crystal property was recorded with the Benzie County Recorder of Deeds in March.

Approximately 70% of the CBCA cottagers pledged over $500,000 in support of the church's plans to improve and preserve Camp Crystal and now we want to recognize and celebrate this achievement. If you made a pledge, please join us on Saturday, August 22nd. (If you have not made a pledge, it's not too late. Just contact me at the email address or phone number below). Members of the church will be attending to talk about how the funds are being used and to express their gratitude for your support.

Protecting and preserving our surrounds creates a rich legacy for our entire community, one that should be celebrated. Please join us on August 22nd.

Bike Ride to Crystal View Lunch (25 Aug 2026)

Crystal View has new operators (complete with Moomers ice cream) and we’re excited to test the menu! Join us at the CBCA Park as we ride bikes down to lunch. If you’d rather not bike, just drive and we’ll meet around noon.

Wine Tasting Event (28 Aug 2026)

Please join us at this year's outdoor wine tasting event under the trees at the CBCA park. We'll be tasting several wines of the same varietal from different regions. $10 per person. 21+ only. Bring 4 wine glasses each and we will have extra glasses if you don't have 4 glasses! Light snacks will be provided. Birthday Potluck (2 Sep 2026)

Let’s celebrate all of our birthdays! We’ll have cake! This is the last potluck of the season, so clean out those cupboards. (Even use Spam if you are so inclined.) We will have a special guest at the Sept. 2nd potluck: Fire Chief Mike Cederholm. He will discuss fire prevention and issues that we should all be aware of to keep our precious cottages safe.

Bring a dish to pass, your own plates, utensils and beverage.
